“Welcome to Ocean East Vacation Rentals

on Chincoteague Island”

Within a ten day period we must receive the signed rental agreement or the reservation will automatically be cancelled.

The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your check-in date. Automatic cancellation will result if not received 30 days prior to check-in. 

Payment Method: Ocean East Vacation Rentals will accept personal checks for rental deposits only if received 30 days prior to your arrival date.

For payments made in less than 30 days of your arrival date only Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Travelers checks, money orders will be accepted.

*A $35 fee is applied to all returned checks.

Cancellation Policy:      All cancellations must be made in writing by certified mail. If cancellation is made 30 days prior to arrival date your deposit will be refunded less a $50.00 processing fee.

If cancellation is made less than 30 days prior to arrival date the deposit will only be refunded if we are able to rent the unit for the same time frame, less a $50.00 processing fee and nonrefundable insurance fees.

Refunds:  No refund will be made for inclement weather unless Chincoteague Island is under a mandatory evacuation.

No refunds will be issued for early departure of guests or malfunctioning of mechanical equipment.

Trip Insurance: Our GUESTS have the option of purchasing Travel Guard Trip Insurance to protect against loss due to the cancellation of a reservation or inclement weather. Trip Insurace is 7% of total vacation rental booking.

Check-in: Check-in time is 4:00 PM. No luggage or other items may be left at rental unit before the 4:00 PM Check-in. No member of your party will be allowed to occupy the premises before the check-in is completed by the lease holder.

CHINCOTEAGUE Ocean East Vacation Rental Office is open:

Peak Season:  9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday thru Friday and 9:00 AM to 4:00PM on.

Saturday. (CLOSED  Sunday)

Off Season: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday thru Friday and 9:00AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday.  (CLOSED Wednesday & Sunday)

*If you will arrive after normal business hours you may make arrangements with CHINCOTEAGUE Ocean East Vacation Rentals for your “Late Arrival.”

*Properties are not subject to Guest approval upon arrival. Each property is unique in that it reflects the taste of the owner.

Check-out: Check-out time is 10:00 AM. This time must be strictly observed in order to prepare the unit for the arrival of the next guests.

If Guest fails to adhere to this policy a $25.00 per hour late fee plus 10% Tax will be applied to the credit card on file.

For each key not returned to CHINCOTEAGUE Ocean East Vacation Rentals office a $5.00 charge plus 5% Sales Tax will be applied to your credit card.

*DO NOT return to unit after keys are turned in.

Occupancy: The Occupancy Rate indicated on your rental agreement is the maximum capacity assigned for this property. Violation of this limit is a breach of contract and will result in immediate eviction without refund.

Agent is not authorized by Property OWNER to rent to organizations or groups. Any Guest found in violation will be evicted without refund.

Maintenance:   Renters shall maintain the property in a clean and sanitary manner at all times.

The day for weekly trash pick-up will be posted in your rental unit.

Grilling shall not be allowed on decks, porches.

CAMPERS, TENTS, AND RVS ARE NOT TO BE OPERATED OR OCCUPIED ON THE PREMISES OF ANY RENTAL UNIT.

Linens, Towels and paper products are not provided.   Bed sizes are indicated on the reservation confirmation. Each Guest should bring their linens, towels, Beach Towels and personal items.

Cooking and eating utensils are provided as are pillows and blankets.

Telephones: Telephones are for local use only. Long distance calls made should be applied to a calling card or made collect. If any long distance charges appear on owner’s telephone bill during the dates of your stay a $25.00 service charge plus the amount of the calls will be  applied to the credit card on file.

Pets: Our Pet Friendly properties require a $75.00 Non-Refundable deposit per pet. (Limit 2 pets, "DOGS ONLY") Should any damage occur to the property due to your pet above the Accidental Rental Damage Insurance limit the balance will be applied to your credit card on file. Please keep your pet leashed and pick up after your pet. Pets cannot be left unattended.

*Any pet taken into a home that does not allow pets will result in immediate eviction without refund.

** Any pet taken into a “pet friendly property” without prior notification to Ocean East Vacation Rentals and without paying pet fee will result in automatic eviction without refund.

***Attention Pet Allergy Sufferers - Ocean East is not responsible for any property which does not allow pets, but consequently has an owner who, at times, may bring their own pets to the property. Please call to confirm whether or not the property ever has pets present if this is a concern of yours.

Check-out Duties: All dishes must be washed and put away. Linens removed from beds and remade as found. All food products removed from refrigerator and refrigerator wiped clean. It is the responsibility of the renter to take any excess trash to the refuse collection center located on Deep Hole Road. Any trash left on premises will result in a $25.00 charge to credit card on file.

Accidents: Tenant hereby agrees to hold and save harmless Ocean East Realty Inc. & Vacation Rentals, Agent & Owner from damages or injuries to person or property by reason of any cause whatsoever either in or about the premises or elsewhere.

The staff at CHINCOTEAGUE Ocean East Vacation Rentals will work diligently to insure that you will enjoy your island experience and that you will return again to
